Lead enterprise technology strategy, architecture and AI governance for a complex organisation.

We are partnering with a values-led organisation to appoint a General Manager, Enterprise & AI Architecture, Strategy and Procurement. Based in Macquarie Park, this senior leadership role will shape the organisation’s future technology landscape and ensure its technology and AI investments are aligned, secure, sustainable and focused on outcomes.

Reporting to the CIO, you will lead a multidisciplinary architecture, strategy and procurement function. You’ll work closely with executives and leaders across technology, business, risk and finance, providing clear advice and constructive challenge on strategic priorities and investment decisions.

About the role

You will set the enterprise technology direction, establish as is and target-state architecture and guide the transition roadmap, including major transformation and integration initiatives. A key focus is coordinating a coherent, scalable approach to AI—turning governance decisions into practical standards and patterns that enable teams to innovate responsibly.

Key responsibilities

- Build and develop a high-performing architecture team across enterprise, solution, data, integration, infrastructure and security domains, alongside procurement leadership.
- Own and communicate the technology strategy, enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and multi-year roadmaps.
- Coordinate enterprise AI architecture across business, applications, data, integration, cyber security and operations.




- Define reusable AI architecture patterns and guidance for embedded capabilities, enterprise platforms and custom-built solutions.
- Lead technology and AI governance, decision rights, assurance and exception processes for significant designs, investments and procurements.
- Advise executive and board-level stakeholders on technology trends, risks, investment choices and business outcomes.
- Drive simplification, platform consolidation, lifecycle management and reduction of technical debt.
- Lead technology sourcing and procurement strategy, vendor governance and commercial outcomes, with a focus on whole-of-life value.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear business, risk, service and investment implications.

About you

You are an experienced enterprise architecture leader who can connect strategic intent with practical delivery. Confident engaging at executive level, you bring sound judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to guide constructive decisions across complex, competing priorities.

- Substantial senior experience leading enterprise architecture in a large, complex, multi-domain organisation.
- Proven success developing target-state architectures,



transition roadmaps and governance for major transformation, integration or modernisation programs.
- Strong understanding of enterprise AI architecture, AI solution patterns, orchestration, integration and responsible technical governance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence investment decisions and resolve cross-domain technology trade-offs.
- Experience leading teams, developing capability and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain technical complexity in business terms.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture accreditation is also preferred.
