Purpose of the Role

Responsible for conducting ground and network surveys for existing and proposed fibre paths, creating and maintaining engineering records in AutoCAD/Konect, and delivering high-quality fibre network designs in line with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct surveys of existing and proposed fibre network routes.
- Capture and maintain accurate network infrastructure and engineering records.
- Prepare and update designs and supporting documentation using AutoCAD and/or Konect.
- Allocate and manage end-to-end fibre connectivity paths.
- Ensure designs comply with client standards and relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with planning, design, maintenance, and project teams.
- Support Senior Designers, Trainee Designers, and the Land Access Team.
- Manage multiple work orders while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.

- Comply with environmental legislation and internal quality standards.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

- Minimum 2+ years' experience using CAD and/or Konect systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable:

- Experience in fibre optic network and fibre path design.
- Knowledge of Telstra and NBN network infrastructure.
- Telecommunications design and network records experience.
