About The Role

You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which has provided outstanding healthcare for more than 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the veteran community, the hospital now delivers a broad range of specialist and general health services to the communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and surrounding areas.

You will lead and manage the Speech Pathology clinical services team at Concord Hospital in conjunction with the Director Speech Pathology/HOD Concord with a leadership role for Speech Pathology including the supervision of staff, management of professional standards and development of safety and quality.

The Deputy

Head of Department also works with the Professional Discipline Director of Speech Pathology and other Heads of Departments to enhance Speech Pathology services, standards and quality across the allied health stream in Sydney LHD.

Ideal Candidate

- Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology with current registration to practice as a Speech Pathologist and eligibility for membership of the Speech Pathology professional association as well as relevant post graduate qualifications in clinical leadership and/or management or willingness to undertake same.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and clinical experience in the provision of Speech Pathology across a broad range of clinical areas.
- Currently holds a valid NSW driver’s licence (P1 and P2 licence acceptable)
