Company Description
AreaSpec is building a Compliance System-of-Record for Approved Providers in Australian Early Childhood Education and Care. Our first service is the Compliance Scan: an Approved Provider sends us their policies, procedures, blank forms and Quality Improvement Plan, and we return a report showing where each document stands against the Obligations that apply to their service. AreaSpec does not assess, rate or certify services, and does not give legal advice.
Role Description
As our Scan Reviewer, you check every finding a Scan makes before the report goes to the Approved Provider. For each Obligation the Scan marks as covered, and for each judgement call it makes, you read the cited passage against the Obligation and confirm, change or reject the call, with a one-line reason. You check every citation against the instrument it comes from, and you note anything the Scan has missed. You raise questions about what the law requires; AreaSpec’s director settles them.
Neither the Scan nor the Scan Reviewer assesses, rates or certifies a service.
How it works
- Contract, $298 per Scan reviewed, fixed. Remote within Queensland, no set hours.
- It starts with one paid calibration review ($298) on a sample pack, before any customer work.
- Each review is returned within one Queensland business day of the Scan being ready.
- One Scan Reviewer reviews the first ten paid Scans, so the standard is applied the same way throughout. A sample of every review is checked against the documents. Ongoing work is expected to follow.
- Documents stay on AreaSpec’s systems, never on a personal device or account, and are deleted within 30 days of delivery. You sign a confidentiality, privacy and intellectual property agreement before any access.
Qualifications
- At least five years in Australian Early Childhood Education and Care, including time as a Nominated Supervisor, Coordinator, Educational Leader or Approved Provider
- Working knowledge of the National Law, the National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Approved Learning Frameworks
- Queensland Family Day Care experience, or the ability to learn the scheme model quickly
- Familiarity with Queensland child secure and reportable conduct requirements and the Blue Card system (a current Blue Card is preferred, not required)
- The ability to say exactly what a passage says, what the Obligation asks, and whether the first carries the second
- Absolute discretion with a provider’s documents
