Position: Head of Sales and Business Development - Australia

Qualification: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Building Engineering with MBA preferred.

Work Experience: 8 to 10 years of sales and management experience in Construction, Concrete, Specialty Chemicals or related industry. Experience in establishing a business or launching new products to the market would be an advantage.

Responsibilities: Grow and manage P&L; of the business, selling value-added innovative products and solutions in the construction space. Ability to make convincing pitch on company’s products and services to clients, specifiers, consultants, contractors at mid to senior levels (including government departments) to secure business deals. Prior experience in techno-marketing of products and services is an added advantage.

Recruit and manage a small team of finance and sales personnel as the business grows and make plans to grow the business pan-Australia. Identify and develop current market opportunities,



establish a customer base and build strategic relationships to support business growth in the assigned market.

Key traits: Integrity, excellent inter-personal skills, open-minded, innovative and adaptable. Willingness to learn and assimilate new technology, basic understanding of finance and familiarity with the local culture, laws, and taxations. Strong negotiation and deal closing skills.

Requirements: Willing to travel within Australia as required.

This is a permanent position and reporting to the Regional Director of Asia/Australia. Candidate needs to have the right to work in the respective country. This position is subject to a six-month probation period before confirmation on the job. Position to be based out of a major metro city in Australia. Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and work experience.
