About Legal Aid NSW We stand beside people when they need it most. At Legal Aid NSW, fairness isn’t just a legal principle, it shapes everything we do - our culture, our services, our workplace and our decisions.

Since 1979, Legal Aid NSW has provided legal advice, support and representation in criminal, family and civil law, helping people across NSW navigate hardship and complex legal issues. Our work is challenging, but deeply meaningful.

In partnerships with LawAccess NSW, Community Legal Centres and the Aboriginal Legal Service NSW/ACT, we are located throughout the state including our Central Sydney office, 25 regional offices, and satellite and outreach offices.

About The Role

As a Legal and Client Support Officer, you will provide high-quality clerical and administrative support to legal staff and clients while serving as an important first point of contact for people seeking help with a legal problem.

Based in our Orange office, you will work in a busy, client-focused environment where no two days are the same. You will assist with reception and telephone enquiries, maintain accurate client and matter information, provide clear information about Legal Aid NSW services, and support the effective day-to-day delivery of legal services.

This is a temporary opportunity with the possibility of becoming ongoing.

About You

You are an organised, adaptable and service-focused professional who communicates clearly and respectfully with people from a wide range of backgrounds. You can manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment and remain calm when responding to complex enquiries or challenging situations.

You work collaboratively, use technology confidently, exercise sound judgement and take pride in providing practical, professional support that creates a positive experience for clients and colleagues.
