We are looking for a Manager to join us and lead NRMMRRD'S Georesources Policy team. In this role you will lead a team delivering strategic policy, legislative initiatives and priority projects, while providing authoritative advice and working across government, industry and stakeholder groups. This permanent role would suit an experienced policy leader with sound judgement and strong leadership skills, who is ready to help shape sustainable outcomes for Queensland's mineral and petroleum resources.

As Manager of Georesources Policy, you will lead the development, analysis and implementation of complex policy and legislative initiatives relating to Queensland's mineral and petroleum resources. You will provide expert and authoritative advice to senior management, manage priority government projects and oversee complex reports, submissions, briefings, legislation, presentations and correspondence.

A key part of the role is consultation and negotiation with stakeholders on complex and contentious resources issues. You will build productive relationships across government, industry and non-government organisations, represent the department and help coordinate competing divisional and team priorities.

analytical and problem-solving skills who can interpret complex legislation and policy frameworks and turn them into practical, evidence-based advice. Your communication, influencing and relationship-building skills will support effective outcomes, while your leadership will help create a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team.
