Role Description The Metal Fabricator will work on-site in Yatala, QLD in a full time capacity, contributing to the fabrication of steel security doors, emergency exits, and PA doors. Day-to-day tasks include cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components, operating hand and power tools, and performing grinding and finishing to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings, measuring materials accurately, and ensuring that all fabricated products meet specifications and company guidelines.

Fabricator will collaborate with production team members, maintain a clean and safe work area, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Strong metalworking skills, including cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in metal fabrication.
- Experience with grinding and finishing to achieve precise and clean edges.
- Capability to safely operate forklifts and handle materials in a workshop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of workshop safety practices and commitment to safe work procedures.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or door manufacturing is highly regarded.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team.
