About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity across business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure and communication systems.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and wireless network environments.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and infrastructure issues.
- Implement network security measures, access controls, and monitoring solutions.
- Configure and maintain routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Perform network upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
- Monitor network traffic and identify potential performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configuration records, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams, system administrators, and external vendors on network projects.
- Support disaster recovery planning, network backups, and business continuity activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional experience in network engineering or network administration.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Experience configuring and managing routers,



switches, firewalls, and network devices.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, VLAN, and network security technologies.
- Familiarity with routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and network access management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian networking, cybersecurity, and workplace requirements is desirable.
