Hey, I’m Greg, head of operations here at Updoc.

There’s nothing quite like running operations for something that genuinely changes lives. At Updoc, we’re shaping the future of healthcare by connecting patients with doctors and pharmacies across the country. We’re looking for an experienced practice manager to make sure the operations behind all of that run smoothly, safely and at scale.

Now, this isn’t your average practice manager gig. We’re scrappy, curious and a little bit obsessed with good process. Our team brings together experienced healthcare operators, clinicians and engineers from some of the best global tech companies (think Canva, Uber, Amazon), but we don’t have room for egos here. We thrive on collaboration, coffee-fuelled debates about how to fix a process properly and the occasional meme battle in Slack.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Take messy operational problems and turn them into simple, repeatable processes that scale
- Own practice operations end to end, from policies, procedures and coverage
- Work with our Medical Director and Clinical Director on clinical governance, including incidents, complaints, audits and accreditation readiness
- Talk directly with Partner Doctors, our CX team, product and engineering to deeply understand where things break
- Partner with product and engineering to automate manual work rather than adding more people to it
- Use data to spot problems early, before patients or doctors feel them
- Leave every process better than you found it

About You

- You’ll thrive here if someone can say, “Doctors are losing an hour every day chasing pathology results,” and your instinct is to investigate,



find the root cause and fix the process, not wait for a detailed brief.
- You’ve managed a busy medical practice for 3+ years, ideally multi-site, high-volume.
- You love solving puzzles. You see a tricky compliance edge case or a Sunday night coverage gap, and your first thought is, “Challenge accepted.”
- We expect everyone to use AI every day to speed up research, reporting, policy drafting and analysis, but never as a substitute for judgement.
- You’re calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions when the stakes are real.
