The opportunity
Anila Recruitment is recruiting for a quality-focused early learning service in Mittagong. You'll run the kitchen, creating fresh, nutritious and varied meals for children from babies to 6 years, and be a valued member of the centre team.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and cooking balanced, culturally diverse meals, snacks and drinks.
- Managing allergies, intolerances and medical, cultural and religious dietary needs with care.
- Keeping food safety and hygiene to a high standard, in line with the centre's Food Safety Plan.
- Ordering, stock control and purchasing within budget.
- Keeping kitchen records and compliance checklists accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen, and reporting hazards promptly.
- Reviewing menus regularly with children, families,



educators and health professionals.
- Sharing positive food and cooking experiences that support children's learning.

What you'll bring

- A commercial cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in children's services is highly regarded
- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, plus Protected Food Handling and Allergy Management certification.
- Experience cooking in an early learning setting, or significant food service experience.
- Confident menu planning, nutrition knowledge and budget management.
- Sound knowledge of WHS and food handling requirements.
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
