Sanguis Health is a growing specialist healthcare group providing comprehensive care for patients with blood disorders, blood cancers and solid organ cancers. Our services also include The Iron Infusion Clinic, a specialist service dedicated to the assessment and management of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia, with clinics across Toowoomba, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Based at St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital, our team of Consultant Haematologists, Medical Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and experienced administration professionals are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centred care close to home.

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking experienced Casual Medical Receptionists to join our Toowoomba team on a casual basis, initially covering a period of maternity leave, with the possibility of ongoing employment beyond this period.

School-friendly hours

This position offers approximately 9:30am – 3:00pm, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for work that fits around school drop-off and pick-up commitments.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming and assisting patients with warmth and professionalism.

- Managing appointments, enquiries and patient bookings.

- Answering telephone and email enquiries.

- Managing patient check-in and check-out.

- Processing payments and general administrative tasks.

- Updating patient information and medical records accurately.

- Liaising with doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners.

- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

- Supporting the general administration and day-to-day running of the clinic.





About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy specialist medical environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration.

- A friendly, qualified and genuinely patient-focused approach.

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Confidence with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

- Reliability, initiative and a willingness to be part of a supportive team.

- Familiarity with medical practice software and healthcare privacy requirements (desirable).

Remuneration

$37–$43 per hour, inclusive of casual loading, depending on experience.
