About the role

VS Global Advisory is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Head of Compliance & AMLCO on behalf of a growing financial services organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO/Managing Director, you will lead the compliance function, strengthen regulatory frameworks and support the business's continued growth.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, implement and maintain AFSL and AML/CTF compliance frameworks.

- Act as AMLCO, overseeing KYC/EDD, transaction monitoring, risk assessments and AUSTRAC reporting.

- Lead compliance monitoring, testing, breach management and regulatory reporting.

- Oversee market conduct, client classification, DDO/TMD and relevant financial markets obligations.

- Monitor client money, derivative transaction reporting and outsourced service providers.

- Manage regulatory changes and liaise with ASIC, AUSTRAC and AFCA.

- Provide compliance advice and reporting to executive management and the Board.

About you





- Extensive compliance experience within an Australian AFSL-regulated financial services business.

- Proven ability to build and manage compliance frameworks independently.

- Previous AMLCO or senior AML/CTF leadership experience.

- Strong knowledge of ASIC, AUSTRAC and financial services regulations.

- Experience in securities, stockbroking, derivatives, FX, CFDs or prime brokerage highly regarded.

- A proactive, commercially minded skilled comfortable operating autonomously.
