Role Description The Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, working within the showroom to assist customers in selecting furniture that meets their needs, style preferences, and budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting and engaging customers, conducting needs-based consultations, providing detailed product information, and preparing quotes and sales orders. The role involves maintaining showroom presentation, following up on customer inquiries,



and supporting after-sales service to ensure a smooth purchasing experience.

The Sales

Consultant will also work with the wider team to meet sales targets, contribute to merchandising, and uphold Berkowitz Furniture’s standards of professional, courteous customer service.

Qualifications

- Strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable furniture solutions.
- Proven focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, including building rapport and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly present product features, benefits, and pricing.
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in furniture or homewares, and comfort working to sales targets.
- Ability to work on-site in Melbourne, VIC, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Basic computer skills for processing sales, using POS systems, and managing customer records.
- Professional presentation, reliability, and a cooperative approach to working within a showroom team.
