Sydney | Competitive Remuneration | Pathway to Partnership An established national law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Securitisation and Structured Finance lawyer to its Sydney Banking & Finance practice.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants more than another senior fee-earner role. The firm is looking for a lawyer who can take ownership of its securitisation offering, help grow the practice and establish a specialist platform with a potential longer-term pathway to partnership.
The opportunity
Working closely with an experienced Banking & Finance partner, you'll have the chance to take a leading role in a growing securitisation practice, supported by an established national firm and a strong pipeline of work.
A few things worth highlighting:
- Securitisation: Work across warehouse facilities, receivables financing, asset-backed transactions and other structured finance matters.
- Private credit: Exposure to a growing volume of work from private credit clients and other financial institutions.
- Ownership: The opportunity to take the lead on securitisation matters and help develop the firm's offering in this space.
- Partnership: Scope to carve out your own specialist practice and work towards partnership over time.
- Team & Culture: Work closely with experienced partners in a collaborative environment,
with the autonomy and support to build something of your own.
- Remuneration: The firm is prepared to offer a highly competitive package to attract the right person.
About you
We're interested in speaking with lawyers who have:
- Strong experience in securitisation and structured finance, ideally gained at a leading national or international law firm.
- Experience advising on warehouse facilities, asset-backed financing, receivables transactions or similar structured finance arrangements.
- The confidence to manage complex transactions and develop strong client relationships.
- An interest in taking greater ownership of a practice area and potentially building towards partnership.
Applications are welcome from Australian-qualified lawyers currently practising in London, Singapore or New York who may be considering a return to Sydney.
Why consider it?
For someone currently in a larger finance practice, this offers the opportunity to step into a role where you can genuinely make your mark.
Rather than waiting for an opportunity to emerge within an established partnership structure, you'll have the chance to help shape and grow a specialist offering, with the support of a partner who is actively looking for someone to take that next step.
