State Head of Origination | NSW

About the Role:

- An exceptional opportunity to join a well-capitalised and rapidly growing non-bank lender backed by committed international institutional capital. As the State Head of Origination, you will be responsible for leading the NSW business, driving origination strategy, and overseeing the structuring and execution of complex real estate credit transactions ranging from $10 million to $100 million . This is a genuine leadership role with significant influence across investment strategy, capital deployment, team development, and market expansion. You will play a critical role in growing the platform, deepening key industry relationships, and establishing the business as a leading provider of real estate credit solutions across the NSW market.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the NSW origination platform, developing and executing growth strategies to drive deal flow, market penetration and portfolio expansion.
- Source, originate and convert high-quality commercial real estate lending opportunities across senior, mezzanine, construction and structured credit transactions.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with developers, sponsors, borrowers, intermediaries, private equity groups, advisors and institutional stakeholders.
- Lead the structuring and negotiation of complex transactions, balancing commercial outcomes with prudent risk management.
- Partner closely with Credit, Capital Markets and Investment teams to deliver bespoke financing solutions for a broad range of real estate projects.
- Present and defend investment opportunities to internal credit and investment committees.
- Oversee all aspects of due diligence, underwriting and transaction execution, ensuring efficient delivery from origination through to settlement.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing origination team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence.
- Act as a senior representative of the business in the market, enhancing brand presence and identifying strategic growth opportunities.




- Monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify refinancing, restructuring and new lending opportunities within the existing book.
- Contribute to broader business initiatives including product development, capital deployment strategy and platform expansion.

Experience & Qualifications

- 12 years' experience in commercial real estate finance, private credit, real estate debt funds, non-bank lending or institutional banking.
- Proven track record originating, structuring and executing complex real estate debt transactions, particularly within the $10 million to $100 million range.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and building high-performing origination platforms.
- Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets across NSW and established relationships with key market participants.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, manage risk and drive profitable growth.
- Extensive experience presenting transactions to investment, credit or risk committees.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation and business development capabilities.
- Strong credit analysis and structuring expertise across a range of property sectors and capital structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Property, Economics or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably.
