CMV Truck Centre is a purpose built truck dealership specialising in the Sales, Service, Parts and Finance support for the class leading Kenworth and DAF brands. We are a division of the CMV Group of companies which has been operating for 90 years and employs over 2000 staff throughout S.A. and VIC.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for a large size workshop of talented technicians and enthusiastic apprentices, and to see that the flow of daily work is managed in an efficient and precise manner.

In this challenging role you will be responsible for supporting the Workshop with the day to day running of the workshop, and contributing to the efficient and profitable operation of the department.

Duties & Responsibilities





- Ensure all work is completed to the company’s and the manufactures quality standards and at the required productivity level
- Abide by and promote at all times the “Fix it right the first time” philosophy.
- Practice and promote all OHS&W; regulations and any other quality or safety principals of the company.
- Road test vehicles with or without customers to assess faults.
- Ensure that all items on the repair order are completed to specification and quality standards

Skills & Experience

- Qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

- Current HR licence
- High level of problem solving / diagnostic skills
- Excellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprentices.
- Thrive in a fast paced workplace
- Strong computer aptitude in Excel and Word
- Ability to work Saturdays on a roster system
