About The Role The position

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Resource Recovery team.

Reporting to the Coordinator Resource Recovery, the position of Waste Management Officer is responsible for providing a high level of labouring and plant operation support to contribute to the efficient delivery of waste management services to the community, while maintaining a professional and courteous public image.

To be successful you will bring

- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council's values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission.
- Experience in the waste management industry.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to undertake physical labouring duties.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Willingness and ability to work rostered shifts; including regular work outside normal working hours.

The rewards

- A salary range of $61,700 to $70,800 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon shifts (higher weekend penalty rates), working arrangement, skills and experience.
