About the Role: We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and taking real ownership. You will work across the stack, from modern user interfaces and APIs through to cloud-native AWS infrastructure, and take features from design through to production.

You will join an experienced engineering team with strong practices in pair programming, test-driven development, DevOps, automated delivery and security by design. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build reliable software, understand how it operates in production and contribute to the continued evolution of our engineering practice.

We are also evolving our delivery model towards Agentic Engineering. We use AI coding agents as active participants across the software lifecycle, not simply as autocomplete, while retaining clear human accountability for architecture, security, testing, review and production outcomes.





What you’ll do

- Own features end-to-end, from design through to production.
- Build modern UIs, APIs and cloud-native services.
- Work extensively with AWS and serverless architectures.
- Pair with other engineers and use TDD to build reliable, maintainable software.
- Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure as code and operational reliability.
- Apply secure engineering practices in a payments setting.
- Use AI and agentic engineering techniques to improve development speed, quality and automation.
- Continuously experiment with better ways of building software.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally across the full stack.
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or a comparable public cloud environment.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.
- Understanding of APIs, microservices, serverless computing, event-driven architectures, stream processing and message queues.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
- Practical understanding of secure software development, observability and production operations.
- Strong engineering judgement and a willingness to take accountability for software through to production.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
