The Prospect The Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) is seeking a highly organised, proactive and experienced Executive Assistant who thrives on managing competing priorities, anticipating needs and ensuring the smooth operation of an executive function. Combining exceptional executive and administrative support, you will play a key role in supporting strategic priorities, coordinating complex activities and delivering high-quality outcomes that supports Chief Executive and organisational priorities. This is a fast-moving, high-trust role at the centre of the Chief Executive’s office, supporting the day-to-day flow of information, meetings, requests and priorities that enable the Chief Executive to lead SIRA effectively.

This opportunity would suit someone who is already a strong executive support professional and is ready to work beyond the status quo of an Executive Assistant role. You will be proactive, organised, calm under pressure and comfortable taking initiative before being asked. The right person will bring structure, pace and judgement to a confidential executive environment.

You will help ensure the Chief Executive has access to the right information, at the right time and in the right form – including meeting packs, briefing material and follow-up actions – so they are prepared to make decisions and engage effectively internally and externally. Just as importantly, you will support the broader executive office to operate smoothly, with opportunities to contribute flexibly across the Executive Leadership Team and wider organisation as priorities require.

About Us The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) regulates the workers compensation, motor accidents compulsory third party and home building compensation schemes in NSW. SIRA works to ensure these schemes are fair, effective and sustainable, and deliver better outcomes for the people and businesses who rely on them. By supporting the Chief Executive and the effective operation of the executive office, this role contributes directly to the leadership, coordination and decision-making needed to deliver that purpose.

This role is based in the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE), a small, collaborative team that supports the Chief Executive and coordinates priorities across SIRA’s Executive Leadership Team.

As Executive Assistant, you will provide trusted, high-level support to the Chief Executive and help the OCE operate smoothly.
