Recruitment Advisor | Mining & Blue-Collar

6-month contract | Potential to extend | Hands-on talent acquisition

We’re looking for a recruiter who actually recruits.

Someone who doesn’t consider the job done once the SEEK ad is live. Someone who knows how to find people who aren’t actively applying, work a difficult market, build a pipeline and change tack when a sourcing strategy isn’t delivering.

Joining Kal Tire Australia on an initial six-month contract, with the potential to extend, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across our Australian operations, with a strong focus on blue-collar and mining roles.

This is a hands-on role, and we need someone experienced enough to come in, understand the brief and get moving.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll manage your vacancies end to end, partnering directly with hiring managers and taking responsibility for keeping recruitment moving.

That means:

- Getting underneath the brief and understanding what the hiring manager actually needs.
- Developing a sourcing strategy rather than relying solely on incoming applications.
- Directly sourcing and approaching candidates.
- Building and maintaining talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
- Writing ads that speak to the market rather than simply repeating a position description.
- Screening, interviewing and reference checking candidates.
- Managing candidates properly throughout the process, including the ones we don’t hire.
- Keeping hiring managers informed and challenging the approach when the market tells us something needs to change.




- Supporting pre-employment and onboarding activity through to commencement.
- Keeping our recruitment systems, records and reporting accurate and current.
- Getting out to our operations when it makes sense, including potential travel to Western Australia and our mine sites to support recruitment efforts.

What we’re looking for

You’ve done this before.

You understand blue-collar recruitment and, ideally, you’ve recruited within mining, resources, heavy industry or another operational environment.

More importantly, you know how to recruit when candidates aren't lining up at the door.

You’ll bring:

- Solid end-to-end recruitment experience.
- Strong blue-collar recruitment experience, ideally within mining or resources.
- Proven experience proactively sourcing passive candidates, not just processing applications.
- Confidence managing multiple vacancies and competing priorities without needing close supervision.
- An understanding of regional, remote or hard-to-fill recruitment markets.
- Solid stakeholder management skills and the confidence to have honest conversations with hiring managers about the market.
- Good candidate judgement and interviewing skills.
- Strong organisation,



attention to detail and follow-through.
- Experience working with recruitment and HR systems.
- The flexibility to travel to WA and operational sites when required.

The role profile calls for demonstrated end-to-end recruitment experience, knowledge of recruitment practices and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
