Dowerin Homecare is seeking a caring, reliable and motivated Domestic Assistance and Transport Support Worker to join our team.

This casual position suits someone who enjoys working with older people, takes pride in their work and understands the importance of punctuality, confidentiality and respectful support.

About the role

Working in accordance with individual support plans, you will:

- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and general household tasks.

- Provide transport to appointments, shopping and community activities.

- Assist with shopping and social support to promote independence and community connection.

- Build positive, skilled relationships with clients and their families.

- Respect clients’ privacy, dignity, preferences and confidentiality.

- Observe and report changes in clients’ wellbeing, support needs or home safety.

- Follow safe work practices and communicate effectively with the Homecare Coordinator.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a patient, compassionate and respectful approach to working with older people.

- Is punctual, dependable and able to manage scheduled visits and transport commitments.





- Can work independently and contribute positively to a team.

- Has good communication skills and can follow support plans and instructions.

- Maintains professional boundaries and handles personal information confidentially.

- Demonstrates attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality service.

Previous experience in aged care, community services or a similar role is desirable.

Requirements

- Current C Class driver’s licence.

- Access to a roadworthy vehicle.

- Current First Aid certificate.

- National Police Clearance.
