Join the team, where racing prestige meets vibrant hospitality. Located in Fannie Bay and home to the Northern Territory’s most iconic events, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at Silks Darwin.

This frontline leadership role sits at the heart of service execution—ensuring smooth delivery across bars, functions, and race days while mentoring teams and driving operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, train, and support bar and food & beverage attendants to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

- Provide pre-shift briefings, team allocations, and hands-on coaching to ensure service readiness.

- Lead operational setup and pack-down for bars and functions, ensuring all areas are guest-ready.

- Oversee bar service including beverage preparation, cash floats, tills, and POS/EFTPOS systems.

- Maintain compliance with RSA and Territory liquor regulations, addressing issues promptly and professionally.

- Engage with patrons, anticipate needs, and resolve feedback or complaints with confidence.

- Manage stock levels, requisitions, and reporting to ensure operational efficiency.

- Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards while monitoring venue presentation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) – mandatory

- Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) - mandatory

- Nationally recognised Certification in Hospitality

- Demonstrated experience supervising hospitality teams in high-volume venues or large events

- Solid knowledge of bar service and function/event management

- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

- Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays, with full availability required June–August (peak season)
