About the role

The Senior Stylist is responsible for providing high-quality hair services, including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and professional standards. This role is critical to the smooth operation of the salon, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and the business maintains its reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs, desired styles, and treatment options.

- Perform haircuts, blow-drying, colouring, foiling, balayage, chemical straightening, keratin treatments, hair extensions and other advanced hair services.

- Provide expert recommendations on products, treatments, and maintenance techniques suited to individual client needs.

- Deliver a professional, personalised experience to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workstation in compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

- Keep up to date with the latest techniques, industry trends,



and product knowledge to deliver up-to-date and innovative services.

- Manage time effectively to ensure client appointments run smoothly and efficiently.

- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately when required.

- Collaborate closely with other team members to deliver seamless salon experiences.

- Assist in mentoring and training apprentices and junior stylists, sharing knowledge and supporting skill development.

About you

- Certificate III in Hairdressing (or equivalent international qualification).

- At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience as a qualified hairdresser.

- Advanced technical skills in cutting, colouring, foiling, and styling techniques.

- Strong product knowledge and the ability to advise clients on suitable home-care regimens.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- The ability to work independently while also contributing to the overall team environment.

- A passion for learning and staying up to date with evolving industry trends.
