Looking for varied electrical work, a supportive team and a change of scenery?

Stedmans Construction & Engineering (SCE) is an Indigenous-owned construction and maintenance company with an established presence in Maningrida. We are seeking an experienced electrician to join our team, delivering housing maintenance and construction services across the community and surrounding areas.

Our preference is for someone keen to live and work in Maningrida, with single-person accommodation available. We will also consider FIFO applicants, with roster arrangements and flight departure location to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

About the role

You will undertake a broad range of residential and commercial electrical work, including:

- Fault finding, repairs and responsive maintenance.

- Electrical inspections, testing and preventative maintenance.

- New installations, upgrades and construction works.

- Switchboard, lighting, power, smoke alarm and safety checks.

- Completing job records, photographs, test results and required compliance documentation.

- Working alongside our other trades to deliver safe, reliable services for the community.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and can work independently while contributing to a team.

What we’re looking for

- A current unrestricted NT electrical licence,



or an interstate equivalent with the ability to obtain the appropriate NT licence before commencing.

- Experience in residential electrical maintenance, fault finding and installations.

- A current driver’s licence and Construction White Card.

- Current LVR/CPR and First Aid certificates.

- Australian working rights.

- Good communication skills and a respectful approach when working in occupied homes and within a remote community.

- The ability to organise your workload, solve problems and maintain accurate job records.

Previous remote community experience would be an advantage.
