What You’ll Be Doing

As a Remote Hands Field Engineer, you’ll work as part of a team delivering high-quality support services to our data centre clients in Sydney. Your core responsibilities will include:

Installation & Deployment

- Equipment staging, racking and stacking, labeling, and inventory

- Installing internal hardware components (HDD, memory, etc.)

- Infrastructure data cabling and connectivity setup

Configuration & Support

- Power cycling, console port setup, and soft reboots

- KVM/IP switch installation for remote configuration

- Assisting with new and existing device configuration

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

- General system and network troubleshooting

- Circuit and connectivity testing with third-party carriers

- Cleaning, shipping & receiving of equipment





Reporting & Communication

- Regular updates to the Remote Customer and Regional Manager while on-site

- Detailed post-deployment reports

- Ensuring B-612 systems are updated with accurate ticket data

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is technically capable, team-oriented, and proactive.

✅ Required Experience

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Remote Hands in data centre environments

- Strong hardware knowledge: replacing components, system assembly

- Understanding of network infrastructure and IP fundamentals

- Solid hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

The Details

- Contract Only: You must be self-employed and able to provide proof of status.

- On-Site Role: Must be based in or near Sydney and available for on-site support.
