An established and growing South Australian engineering business is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker to join its skilled workshop team.

Specialising in the manufacture, repair and modification of agricultural machinery, trailers, transport equipment and custom steel fabrications, our client offers a varied and rewarding role for a tradesperson who takes pride in producing quality work.
This is a genuine long-term opportunity for a capable fabricator who enjoys hands-on workshop fabrication, working from engineering drawings and seeing projects through from start to finish.

The Role
Working as part of an experienced fabrication team, you will undertake a broad range of steel fabrication, welding, assembly and repair work.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Fabricating and assembling agricultural machinery components, trailers and transport equipment
- Performing high-quality MIG welding, predominantly on mild steel
- Working with structural steel, including SHS and RHS sections
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
- Measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting and assembling fabricated components
- Repairing and modifying existing machinery, equipment and steel structures
- Operating fabrication machinery,



welding equipment and workshop tools safely
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and workmanship
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently

What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in experienced fabricators who have a strong background in heavy steel fabrication, agricultural machinery or trailer manufacturing.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Recognised trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking or a closely related trade
- Demonstrated experience in a fabrication workshop
- Strong MIG welding skills, particularly with mild steel
- Practical experience working with SHS, RHS and structural steel
- Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience fabricating, repairing or modifying agricultural machinery, trailers or heavy equipment
- Strong measuring, fitting and fabrication skills
- A commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship
- A reliable, practical approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Highly regarded:

- Agricultural machinery or trailer fabrication experience
- Forklift or EWP tickets
- Construction White Card
