Healesville
Build a career you'll still love in 10 years' time.
You've got some experience behind you. You're growing in confidence, discovering your clinical interests and starting to think about where you'd like your career to take you.
What if your next role gave you the opportunity to broaden your skills, learn from experienced clinicians and grow both professionally and financially?
At Beyond Speech, that's exactly what we're working towards.
We're an established, independently owned Speech Pathology practice supporting children, adults and older people throughout the Yarra Valley and Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

We're welcoming three new graduates in 2027 and are now looking for one more experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team. This may be our final recruitment opportunity for a little while.

What makes Beyond Speech different?
A excellent start, with support that continues
We don't expect you to walk in on day one and know everything.
You'll have a dedicated 100-day induction program, weekly check-ins with our Clinical Lead and a caseload that builds gradually during your first month.
Beyond induction, you'll have access to fortnightly individual mentoring,
fortnightly group supervision and regular informal opportunities to collaborate with our Clinical Lead and Director.
We invest in our team's professional development, both in-house and externally, with opportunities to learn from experienced clinicians and develop your skills in areas such as AAC, paediatric feeding, orofacial myology and dysphagia management.
Whether you're looking to broaden your clinical experience or develop a particular area of interest, we'll support you to keep learning and growing.
Grow your career and your earnings
We believe in recognising and rewarding clinicians who continue to grow, contribute to our team and consistently deliver excellent care.
Alongside your competitive base salary, our established performance-based Rewards Program provides genuine opportunities to increase your earnings as your skills, confidence and contribution grow.
We offer clear expectations, regular feedback and opportunities for professional and financial progression, recognising the value you bring to our team.
A varied caseload and opportunities to grow
If you enjoy variety and want to become a well-rounded clinician, you'll feel at home here.
Our team supports clients across the lifespan, including speech, language, literacy, AAC, feeding, swallowing and orofacial myology.
You don't need to be experienced in all these areas. We're looking for someone who enjoys learning and wants to keep developing their skills.
A sustainable career, not just another job
We believe great clinical care and a healthy work-life balance should go hand in hand.
We have clear expectations and high clinical standards, but we also provide the guidance, systems and support to help our team succeed.
We work closely with our clinicians to develop efficient ways of working, manage their caseloads and complete planning, preparation and documentation within their paid working hours.
We also offer full-time clinicians the option of working a 40-hour week to accrue a monthly rostered day off (RDO), providing greater flexibility and opportunities for work-life balance.
We want our clinicians to finish their working day feeling they've made a difference, knowing they've done their best work, and still have time and energy for the people and things they love outside work.
An established practice with a solid future
There's a lot of change happening across allied health, and we understand that choosing your next workplace is a big decision.
Beyond Speech has been part of the Yarra Valley community for more than 25 years, but our reputation extends well beyond our local area. Families travel to us from across Melbourne and regional Victoria, including the Dandenong Ranges, Pakenham, Melbourne's eastern and western suburbs and the Victorian High Country.
With established referral relationships, a strong reputation and a consistent waitlist of clients seeking our services, we're proud of the trust we've built with families and professionals over the years.
We're proud of what we've built and continue to invest in our people, systems and clinical services.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a Speech Pathologist who:
- Has approximately 1–3 years of clinical experience, ideally in private practice
- Has experience working with NDIS participants
- Is curious, motivated and committed to delivering excellent clinical care
- Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture
- Wants to continue developing their skills and confidence across the lifespan
- Holds or is eligible for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status with Speech Pathology Australia
You don't need to know everything. You do need to be willing to learn, take ownership of your development and contribute to a team that genuinely cares about the work we do.
A little about our location
Our clinicians enjoy a mix of clinic-based and community-based work, typically spending around half their week at our Healesville clinic and the remainder supporting clients in the community.
Where possible, we thoughtfully plan our clinicians' schedules to provide opportunities to work closer to home, reducing travel and creating greater flexibility throughout the week.
We also protect Friday afternoons for team collaboration at our Healesville clinic. It's an important opportunity to connect, share knowledge, learn from each other and enjoy being part of a supportive team.
Could this be your next step?
We're looking for the right person to join our team, and we'd love to hear from you.
You don't need to prepare a lengthy cover letter. Simply apply through SEEK with your CV, or email Andrea at ••••@beyondspeech.com.au for an informal conversation.
Even if you're not quite sure whether this is the right next step, we'd be happy to have a chat.
Come and build a career you'll still love in 10 years' time.
