Hospitality Worker – Job Description

Position summary

The Hospitality Worker is a full-time all-rounder at Fat Tuna, working across food prep, bowl mixing, taking orders and washing up to deliver fresh, consistent food and fast, friendly service.

Key duties

Food prep and bowl mixing

- Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces and dressings to Fat Tuna recipes and portions
- Mix and finish bowls to order to a consistently high standard
- Label, date, store and rotate stock; restock the station during service

Orders and customer service

- Greet customers and take orders and payments through Square
- Advise on menu items, allergens and dietary options
- Up-sell with finesse and go above and beyond for customers

Cleaning and washing up

- Wash dishes and equipment efficiently and methodically
- Keep work areas clean, organised and sanitised; complete closing checklists

Team and compliance

- Follow Fat Tuna procedures, food safety and WHS; record temperatures
- Communicate on-shift priorities, help teammates and start shifts on time





About you

- At least 1 year of full time (or part-time equivalent) hospitality experience
- Reliable, efficient, methodical team player.
- Friendly, personable with customers and cares about the details
- Food Handler certificate; RSA desirable
- Available for a roster including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Pay and conditions

- $67,500 per year + super or more, above the Restaurant Industry Award 2020 (MA000119)
- Performance-based pay reviews with a pathway to supervisor and leadership roles

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $67,500.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Darwin NT 0800: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

- Management: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)
