We are looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the venue and work closely with the Venue Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain high standards of service.

Salary: $75,000 + super

Meatball and Wine Bar is a vibrant Italian-inspired restaurant and wine bar known for its quality food, approachable wine selection, and warm hospitality. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the venue and work closely with the Venue Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain high standards of service.

The Role

- Support the Venue Manager in the smooth daily operation of the venue




- Lead and motivate front-of-house staff during service
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and guest experience
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance management
- Support rostering, wage control, and labour targets
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with OH&S;, food safety, and company procedures

About You

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or assistant management role
- Strong service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Confident leading a team in a busy, service-focused environment
- Solid understanding of wine (Italian wine knowledge highly regarded)
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Willing and able to work weekends and evenings
