About Vacupack

Vacupack is a Melbourne-based manufacturer of food packaging, supplying a range of major customers. We’re looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Tool Setter to join our Moorabbin production team.

The role

You’ll play a key role in keeping our injection moulding machines running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include mould changes, machine setup, production start-ups and troubleshooting faults that affect output or product quality.

This role suits someone with strong practical experience who can diagnose problems, take ownership of their work and collaborate with production and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out safe and efficient mould changes and machine setups.
- Set and adjust processing parameters to achieve consistent product quality and reliable production.
- Support production start-ups and confirm machines are ready to run.
- Diagnose and resolve machine, tooling and process issues.
- Identify the causes of recurring faults and quality defects, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with operators,



supervisors and maintenance staff to minimise downtime.
- Follow site safety, quality and production procedures.

What you’ll bring

- Substantial, recent experience as a tool setter in plastic injection moulding.
- Strong knowledge of mould installation, machine setup and processing parameters.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and confidence resolving production problems.
- A practical, methodical approach and close attention to product quality.
- A strong commitment to safe tool handling and machine operation.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing team.
