Learn and Laugh

Wyoming

Little people. Big discoveries. The most important beginnings.

Do you have a special place in your heart for babies and toddlers?

Are you someone who finds joy in the little things – a first step, a new word, a familiar smile or watching a child confidently explore something for the very first time?

At Learn and Laugh, we understand that the earliest years of a child's life lay the foundations for everything that follows. We believe these years deserve educators who are nurturing, attentive, passionate and genuinely invested in each child's individual journey.

We are a family-owned early learning company, and we're looking for a warm and enthusiastic Nursery Educator to join our team at our Wyoming centre.

We're looking for someone who understands that working with our youngest learners is about so much more than meeting their daily needs. It's about connection, trust, responsive caregiving and creating beautiful opportunities for learning through everyday moments.

What you'll love about this role

You'll have the opportunity to:

- Build secure, trusting and meaningful relationships with babies and toddlers.
- Get to know each child's individual personality, cues, interests and developmental needs.
- Create beautiful, inviting environments that encourage sensory exploration, movement, curiosity and discovery.
- Support early communication, language development and meaningful interactions throughout the day.
- Provide opportunities for sensory play, music, movement, messy play and hands-on exploration.
- Follow children's emerging interests and recognise the learning opportunities within everyday experiences.
- Support individual routines that respect each child's needs, including sleep, feeding and comfort.
- Celebrate those precious milestones and share meaningful moments with families.
- Create a calm,

welcoming and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, secure and valued.

What we're looking for

We're searching for an educator who:

- Has a genuine love for working with babies and toddlers.
- Understands the importance of attachment, secure relationships and responsive caregiving.
- Is nurturing, patient, attentive and genuinely engaged with children.
- Has a good understanding of early childhood development and individual developmental differences.
- Recognises that everyday interactions and caregiving routines are valuable learning opportunities.
- Enjoys creating sensory experiences and exploring current ways to engage young children.
- Is proactive, enthusiastic and confident using their initiative.
- Values teamwork, communication and meaningful partnerships with families.
- Understands the importance of consistency, flexibility and working collaboratively within a nursery team.

Your responsibilities

- Plan, implement and evaluate a meaningful educational program guided by the EYLF.
- Provide warm, responsive and individualised care that supports children's sense of security and belonging.
- Develop strong and respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Create stimulating indoor and outdoor environments that encourage exploration and development.
- Support children's emerging communication, physical skills, social connections and independence.
- Use observations and critical reflection to inform individual learning opportunities.

- Incorporate intentional teaching into everyday interactions, routines and play.
- Provide physical care, including nappy changes, sleep routines, hygiene and mealtimes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate children's experiences and development with families.
- Work collaboratively with your team to create a consistent, calm and nurturing environment.
- Comply with centre policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations.

About You – Qualifications and Requirements

- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current Child Protection Training.
- Current Child Safety Training – Modules 1 and 2.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Previous experience working within a nursery or infant-toddler workplace is highly regarded.
