Virtus Total Solutions QLD is a telecommunications services company providing telecommunications infrastructure installation, maintenance and network support services. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Telecommunications Linesworker to join our growing team in Queensland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and testing telecommunications cables, lines and associated infrastructure across residential, commercial and telecommunications network projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain and repair overhead and underground telecommunications cables and lines.
- Install and maintain telecommunications poles, cable supports, conduits and associated infrastructure.
- Perform cable hauling, routing, jointing and termination activities.
- Inspect telecommunications lines and identify cable faults or network issues.
- Conduct cable testing, fault identification and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, network plans and installation specifications.
- Operate telecommunications installation equipment, tools and testing instruments.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to telecommunications infrastructure.




- Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian telecommunications standards, workplace health and safety requirements and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance and repair activities.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in telecommunications cable installation, maintenance or repairs.
- Experience working with overhead and underground telecommunications infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cable jointing, termination, testing and fault-finding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network plans.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
