About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, skilled and experienced Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cooking, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

*Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and quality standards.

*Plan and prepare ingredients for daily kitchen operations.

*Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality and presentation.

*Assist with menu planning, food preparation techniques and the development of new dishes.

*Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

*Monitor food stock levels, check deliveries and assist with ordering supplies.

*Minimise food wastage and maintain appropriate portion control.

*Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas, equipment and utensils.

*Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.





* Assist in managing kitchen operations during busy service time.

*Ensure meal prepared in appropriate timeframes.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant should have:

*Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent practical experience.

*Demonstrated experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

*Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety standards.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong time-management, communication and organisational skills.

The ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.

A commitment to maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
