IMMAC-AIR Pty Ltd is currently seeking a skilled, reliable and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week, based in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role

As a Sheet Metal Worker at IMMAC-AIR Pty Ltd, you will play a key hands-on role in preparing, fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal components used in air conditioning and ventilation systems. You will work closely with supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and workplace safety standards.

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to determine material requirements and fabrication methods;
- Select, measure and mark out sheet metal materials using appropriate measuring instruments and templates;
- Cut, bend and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools and specialised fabrication machinery;
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork, fittings and other components for air conditioning and ventilation systems;




- Join sheet metal components using riveting, welding, soldering and other appropriate fastening techniques;
- Fit, position and install fabricated sheet metal components in accordance with project requirements;
- Inspect finished work, carry out necessary adjustments and repairs, and ensure components meet required quality standards;
- Maintain tools and equipment and comply with workplace safety and Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures.

Skills & Experience – Who we’re looking for:

For this position, it is expected that you will possess the following qualifications/work experience:

- Minimum AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal) or a related field, OR at least 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications;
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar sheet metal fabrication role;
- Practical experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, preferably involving HVAC ductwork and ventilation components;
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and safely operate sheet metal fabrication tools and machinery;
- Sound knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication techniques and workplace safety requirements;
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to complete work accurately within project deadlines;
- Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
