Support Worker Wanted

CareNserve is looking for support workers for a participant living in Pelican Waters, Sunshine Coast.

A 58-year-old man is seeking a reliable, kind and LGBTQ-friendly support worker for 6 days a week, including weekends, for 6–7 hours per day.

The ideal worker is patient, respectful, dependable and comfortable providing support in an inclusive, affirming way. A younger worker is preferred, ideally under 30.

Support Worker Requirements

The ideal support worker will:

- Be reliable and punctual
- Be kind, patient, respectful and a valuable listener.
- Be LGBTQ+ friendly and provide inclusive, non-judgmental support.
- Respect privacy, personal boundaries and the person’s independence.
- Communicate clearly and follow instructions.




- Have relevant support work experience or a willingness to learn.
- Hold any required checks, training or qualifications for the role.
- Be comfortable working with the support needs and tasks involved; these can be discussed with applicants.

Required Checks

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- First Aid and CPR certificates
- Right to work in Australia
- Two recent work referees
