Pay Rate: $36.25 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading

ESS delivers world-class hospitality, facility management and support services to Defence sites across Australia. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our team supporting the Australian Defence Force across multiple NSW Defence locations.

About the Role

As a Lifeguard, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe operation of aquatic and recreation facilities while providing excellent customer service to Defence members and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise swimming pools and aquatic facilities to ensure a safe environment for all users
- Monitor pool operations and maintain compliance with safety and operational standards
- Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR and oxygen administration when required
- Conduct facility inspections and identify potential hazards
- Support fitness and recreation programs and assist facility users
- Complete incident reporting and maintain accurate records
- Promote a positive safety culture and deliver exceptional customer service
- Work collaboratively with site teams to maintain high operational standards

What We're Looking For

- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification




- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to administer oxygen or willingness to obtain certification
- Current Working with Children Check
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to health, safety and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
