Senior Regulatory Analyst

A major Australian energy organisation is looking to appoint a Regulatory Analyst within its regulatory function. The role will support a broad range of regulatory, policy and investment initiatives through research, analysis and financial modelling, while working closely with stakeholders across the business.

This role is well suited to someone with a background in economics, finance, policy, or commercial analysis who wants to build specialist expertise in the energy sector and gain exposure to complex, commercially significant regulatory work.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake research, analysis and regulatory modelling to support regulatory strategy and submissions.
- Contribute to revenue proposals, RINs, RIT-Ts and policy submissions.
- Prepare briefing papers, reports and evidence-based recommendations.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to deliver key regulatory milestones.
- Monitor developments across energy regulation and policy.

Key Requirements

- Degree qualified in economics, law, commerce, engineering, finance,



public policy or a related discipline.
- Experience across research, analysis, modelling or technical documentation.
- Exposure to the electricity sector, economic regulation, public policy or commercial analysis is advantageous, but not essential if you can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with stakeholders.

This is a strong opportunity to build specialist expertise within the Australian energy sector, with exposure to major regulatory submissions, investment assessments and policy reform.

You’ll work across commercially and strategically important issues that influence how major energy infrastructure is planned, funded and delivered.
