We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and hard-working Kitchen Hand to join our team at The waterboy cafe.

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly during busy service periods. You will work closely with our head chef and kitchen team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Cleaning: Operating the commercial dishwasher, washing cookware, pans, and utensils by hand, and keeping the dish pit clean and organized.

Basic Food Preparation: Assisting chefs with basic prep work (washing vegetables, peeling, chopping, portioning, and preparing sauces or garnishes).

Kitchen Maintenance: Mopping floors, clearing trash/recycling, cleaning work surfaces,



and keeping storage areas tidy.

Stock & Inventory: Helping unpack deliveries and safely storing food items in dry storage and cool rooms (following FIFO guidelines).

Compliance: Adhering to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety protocols at all times.
