Project Manager - High Profile Program

Our client, a major Australian infrastructure organisation, is delivering a high-profile program of work with a fixed deadline early next year, followed by a period of ongoing information requests. They need an experienced Project Manager to coordinate the people, information and workstreams involved and keep everything on track.

Subject matter experts are already in place. Your job is to bring them together, keep information moving, hold contributors to deadlines and give the executive clear visibility of progress.

Please note, this is not Capital Works/IT Project Delivery - Focus is coordinating an internal special projects team.

The Role

- Provide project coordination oversight across multiple workstreams and contributors
- Coordinate information and input from teams across the business, making sure it’s complete, consistent and delivered on time
- Track progress through clear project plans, governance and reporting cadences
- Prepare steering committee reports and executive updates, and chair review meetings
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts and advisers
- Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies to protect a fixed deadline
- Oversee budget and resource allocation

About You





- Experienced Project Manager with a track record co-ordinating multi-workstream programs to firm deadlines
- Strong governance background: steering committees, reporting frameworks and executive papers
- Excellent coordinator who can bring together large groups of contributors and keep them accountable
- Confident engaging and challenging senior stakeholders
- Experience in government, infrastructure, financial services or other complex, high-scrutiny environments
- Robust writing skills. The ability to review documents and help shape narratives is a bonus
