Details: Are you a highly organised individual with excellent customer service skills and the ability to support a high-functioning team?

The Procurement ACT Service Desk is seeking a Senior Service Desk Officer to contribute to a multidisciplinary team.

The Service Desk plays an essential role in supporting the Enablement Tier of Procurement ACT's Tiered Service Delivery Model. It has three primary functions:

- Providing customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries received by Procurement ACT from both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Managing the Tenders ACT environment and all related tender support activities.
- Notification of ACT Government contracts and invoices.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional who is comfortable engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and has, or can develop, a strong understanding of ACT Government procurement processes and policies.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

- Experience in procurement and comprehension of the procurement framework is desirable but not essential.

- Experience working in a government environment and/or providing customer-focused services will be highly regarded.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

An order of merit or merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.

Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT.

How to Apply: Please submit

Candidates should use relevant examples to demonstrate their suitability for the role with consideration to the duties and responsibilities listed under What you will do.

Applications should be submitted .

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the effective administration of the service.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.

The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
