GRINDCRAFT PTY LTD is a Western Australian commercial flooring contractor specialising in concrete grinding, concrete polishing, floor preparation, floor levelling, resin flooring systems, remedial floor works and specialist surface finishing solutions.

We deliver projects across the commercial, government, healthcare, education, infrastructure and resources sectors throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia.

Due to continued growth and project demand, we are seeking an experienced Floor Finisher to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality floor preparation, grinding, polishing and finishing services across a range of commercial construction projects throughout Western Australia.

This hands-on role requires a skilled flooring skilled who can work independently, maintain a strong focus on quality and safety, and contribute positively to a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

- Measure project areas and interpret plans and specifications to determine flooring requirements and material quantities.
- Prepare floor surfaces for finishing, including removal of existing floor coverings, coatings, adhesives and surface contaminants.
- Operate concrete grinding, polishing and floor preparation equipment.
- Complete concrete polishing, sealing and finishing works to project specifications.
- Mix and apply resin flooring systems and protective coatings.
- Undertake floor levelling, surface preparation and remedial floor repair works.
- Measure, cut and install underlay and floor finishing materials where required.
- Sand, finish and apply protective coatings to flooring surfaces.
- Complete trimming, finishing and detailing activities to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain plant and equipment in safe working condition.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Liaise effectively with builders, site supervisors and subcontractors.




- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Travel to metropolitan and regional project sites as required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Minimum three (3) years' relevant industry experience as a Floor Finisher, Concrete Grinder, Concrete Polisher or similar flooring trade.
- Certificate III in a relevant trade qualification or equivalent qualification, or a minimum of three (3) years relevant industry experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience operating concrete grinding, polishing and floor preparation equipment.
- Experience applying resin flooring systems and protective floor coatings.
- Strong understanding of floor preparation, finishing and surface treatment techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current White Card (Construction Industry).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

- Experience working on major commercial, government, infrastructure or mining projects.
- Experience with decorative concrete finishing and polishing systems.
- Experience with floor levelling compounds and remedial flooring works.
- Additional construction industry licences or tickets.
