Full-Time Hot Section Cook

About us

MARU MARU is a busy Japanese restaurant in the heart of Parramatta, serving rich tonkotsu ramen, loaded donburi, Japanese curry, udon and maze soba – plus sushi and small plates. We're open 7 days and growing fast, with dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

We're looking for a passionate full time cook to run our hot food section and grow with us.

What you'll do

- Cook and plate ramen, donburi, Japanese curry, udon, maze soba and wok dishes during service

- Prep for the hot section: broths, chashu, onsen tamago, sauces, toppings and mise en place

- Keep up with a fast-paced lunch and dinner rush (dine-in + Uber Eats / DoorDash orders)

- Follow our recipe cards and portion standards so every bowl is consistent

- Maintain food safety, labelling, stock rotation and a clean, organised station

- Help with ordering, stock checks and opening/closing duties

- Work as part of a friendly team across the kitchen when needed

What we're looking for

- At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen (hot line / wok / noodle station)





- Japanese or Asian cuisine experience is a big plus – ramen experience highly regarded

- Able to stay calm, fast and accurate during busy service

- Food Handler / Food Safety certificate (or willing to obtain)

- Full Australian working rights for full-time hours

- Available to work weekends and evenings on a rotating roster

- Reliable, positive attitude and a team player
