We're looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Disability Support Worker to join our friendly team in Cooranbong.

About the Role

You will be providing one-on-one support to a female participant who uses a wheelchair, assisting her with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity and choice.

The position currently involves a 5-hour Friday afternoon shift, with the potential to increase to regular Thursday shifts and full-day Fridays. Additional opportunities may also be available to cover other support workers during leave or illness.

Availability on Friday afternoons is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing personal care and hygiene assistance
- Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
- Supporting daily living activities and routines
- Assisting with community access, appointments and social outings
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Encouraging independence, choice and participation
- Following individual support plans and maintaining accurate support notes
- Delivering safe, respectful and person-centred care

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is compassionate,



patient, dependable and genuinely enjoys supporting others.

Essential requirements:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow support plans
- Reliability and availability on Friday afternoons
- Willingness to cover additional shifts when available

Highly regarded:

- Previous experience in disability support or personal care
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Experience supporting people who use wheelchairs

Formal qualifications are not essential for applicants with suitable skills and experience.
