Workshop Trade Assistant – Part Time

Custom Concepts Off Road (CCOR) is looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on Trade Assistant to join our workshop team in Coopers Plains.

We specialise in custom aluminium ute trays, canopies and chassis-mounted modules. This role is focused on supporting our qualified fabricators with production preparation, assembly, vehicle fit-outs and general workshop tasks.

You do not need to be a qualified tradesperson or fabricator. We're looking for someone with good practical ability, confidence using tools and the right attitude to become a reliable part of our small team.

Please note: This is a Trade Assistant position and does not include aluminium welding or fabrication.

The Role

Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Cutting aluminium components to supplied measurements and cut lists
- Folding aluminium components using workshop machinery
- Preparing components and materials for our fabricators
- Drilling, riveting, bolting and general assembly
- Using hand and power tools
- Fitting components and accessories to completed trays, canopies and modules
- Assisting with vehicle fit-outs and installations
- Supplier pick-ups and delivery runs
- General workshop duties
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Supporting the workshop team as required

Training will be provided in the equipment,



processes and tasks required to perform the Trade Assistant role.

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

- Current open manual driver's licence – essential
- Experience and confidence using power tools and machinery
- Good practical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to accurately read measurements and follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision
- Willingness to take on a variety of workshop and support tasks
- Ability to work well within a small team

A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

Previous experience in an automotive, 4WD, workshop, manufacturing, construction, mechanical, installation or similar hands-on environment would be advantageous.

Hours & Pay

This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 25–30 hours per week at our Coopers Plains workshop.

There may be some flexibility around working days and hours for the right candidate.

$32–$38 per hour + super, depending on skills and relevant experience.
