Description

We are excited to invite expressions of interest for the internal opportunity of Production Quality & Systems Leader. The role will be based across our Commercial Services sites at Elizabeth and Holden Hill, with travel between both sites as required.

This role is a excellent chance for someone who is passionate about quality, improving processes and supporting efficient, safe and consistent production operations across Barkuma.

Working closely with the Production Operations Manager, the Production Quality & Systems Leader will support the ongoing development of quality management systems, production processes and operational practices, ensuring we meet commercial customer expectations while maintaining compliance with relevant quality, food safety and safety standards.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

- Provide direction and support to maintain and improve HACCP, quality and commercial customer benchmarks across daily production activities.
- Monitor production quality and food safety practices, identify recurring issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, standardise workflows, reduce waste and strengthen quality outcomes.
- Support the implementation of new commercial business, quality and operational processes, including scheduling, warehousing and logistics, in collaboration with the Production Operations Manager and Business Development Manager.
- Provide training and guidance to Production Supervisors, Operators and production teams on quality standards, HACCP,



production procedures and relevant software and digital systems.
- Liaise with commercial customers regarding product quality, delivery requirements and day-to-day queries.
- Work collaboratively with operational leaders to identify workforce availability, training needs and appropriate NDIS ratios of support.
- Promote person-centred practices that support employees with disability to develop their skills, participate meaningfully in the workplace and achieve their organisational and individual NDIS goals.
- Support risk management, incident reporting, audits and compliance activities across Commercial Services.
- Monitor production and quality performance, maintain accurate records and identify opportunities to improve operational outcomes.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Has strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees, operational leaders and commercial customers.
- Understands the NDIS and disability service provision, with a commitment to person-centred support and meaningful employment.
- Is adaptable, organised and able to manage competing priorities in a changing operational environment.
- Has the ability to mentor and lead positive culture in daily activities.

Qualifications:

- Certificate IV in Frontline Management, or extensive experience in the sector.
- Certificate IV in Community Services, preferably with a disability focus.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, desirable.
