FREE Early Childhood Education and Care Foundation Course – Traineeship and Employment Opportunities

Are you passionate about working with children and interested in starting a rewarding career in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry?

We are looking for motivated, caring and reliable individuals who are interested in building a career through a traineeship or employment opportunity in early childhood education.

As part of this opportunity, eligible candidates will have the chance to undertake a FREE Early Childhood Education and Care Foundation Course, designed to provide essential skills and knowledge for entry-level childcare work and future traineeship pathways.

The Course Covers

Participants will undertake the following four nationally recognised units of competency:

- CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk
- CHCECE055 – Meet legal and ethical obligations in children's education and care
- HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety
- CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people

These units provide foundational knowledge in child protection, legal and ethical responsibilities, workplace safety, diversity and inclusive practices.

Career Pathways

This training is designed to prepare participants for further training and employment opportunities in areas including:

- Early Childhood Educator Trainee
- Childcare Assistant
- Long Day Care Centres
- Preschool and Kindergarten Services
- Other Early Childhood Education and Care settings





Participants may have the opportunity to progress into a CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care traineeship, subject to eligibility and employer requirements.

Duration: Approximately 4-6 weeks
Schedule: 1 day per week – Blended Learning
Cost: FREE (eligibility criteria apply)

Traineeship and Employment Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the foundation training, eligible participants may be considered for traineeship and employment opportunities with partnering early childhood education and care centres.

Employment opportunities are subject to employer selection criteria, availability of positions, eligibility requirements and successful completion of the recruitment process.
