We are seeking an easygoing, confident and nonjudgmental Support Worker to support a young adult with daily living, community participation and building independence.
About the role:
- Support daily routines and develop independent living skills.
- Assist with community access and social connections.
- Encourage goals relating to employment and communication.
- Follow individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
About you:
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disability and complex support needs.
- A calm, patient approach and an understanding of trauma-informed support.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to build trust.
- Reliable, respectful and committed to person-centred care.
No overnight support required.
Pay: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
