Short-term work for 3 or 4 people re-screwing large metal roofs on a commercial site in Portsmith, Cairns. About 2 to 3 weeks, from Monday 23 November to before Christmas.
The job
- Removing old roof screws and fitting current cyclone screw assemblies with impact drivers
- Replacing gutters and fascias with the crew
- Working on the roof all day in harnesses and on safety mesh, with full supervision
You need
- A White Card (the Australian construction induction card)
- To be comfortable working at height in the heat
- A working holiday visa or other right to work in Australia
- To be reliable and turn up every day
What you get
- $40 an hour flat, plus super, paid weekly
- 10-hour days Monday to Friday
- Harnesses and gear supplied
- The possibility of more work after this, on this job in the new year or on our McLeod St project in Cairns North
