Kagome Australia is looking for a permanent full-time experienced Spray Rig Operator / Farm Hand to join our Field Operations team in the Deniliquin area, working across large-scale tomato, carrot, garlic and rotational cropping operations.

You’ll take ownership of spray work orders from start to finish, operating up-to-date self-propelled and trailing equipment and using GPS and precision-ag technology to deliver safe, accurate and efficient applications.

This is a role for an operator who knows that getting the job done means getting the product, rate, timing and conditions right.

What success looks like

The right product. The right rate. The right conditions. The records to prove it.

You’ll:

- Safely operate spray rigs, tractors and associated machinery
- Check products, rates, mixes and target crops against approved spray recommendations
- Assess weather, drift risk and field conditions and make the call to stop when conditions aren’t right
- Calibrate, clean and maintain spray equipment, nozzles, filters and chemical-handling systems
- Maintain accurate spray logs, chemical usage and crop-input records
- Identify faults early and handle routine servicing, preventative maintenance and minor repairs
- Support planting, land preparation, irrigation, harvest and other farm operations outside peak spraying periods

Who we’re looking for

This role suits a reliable operator who can work independently and take ownership of machinery, chemical safety and application quality:

- Previous agricultural spraying experience
- Current chemical-user accreditation (ChemCert) and ACUP or NSW Ground Applicator Licence
- Current driver licence
- Sound knowledge of chemical labels, SDS and safe-handling requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence with basic servicing and fault-finding
- Ability to use GPS, electronic records and mobile technology
- Forklift licence, heavy-vehicle licence and irrigation knowledge are also highly regarded

Just as importantly, you’ll be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently. You’ll take pride in your machinery and your application quality, work well as part of the farming team, and be flexible around seasonal spraying windows.

Applicants must have current Australian working rights and meet the inherent requirements of the role.
